Biorhythms for UNC v Notre Dame in Chapel Hill, 7 pm Start

Caleb is MJ. No one wants to say it. His body control, quickness, leaping ability, shot, and defensive ability are the same. Not saying he will be GOAT, but he is with MJ at the same stage. Loved his defense of Hubert. He was spectacular last night, especially in getting the ball moving when it came to him and he was doubled. We got a lot of good looks because of that.

He's probably better than MJ at this stage in terms of importance although MJ had more competition for top billing. He's also more physically gifted although that wasn't MJ's major strength although he was seriously gifted. We'll see if he has MJ's mental toughness and refusal to give up. That's why he was the GOAT.

Showed a lot of good things last night. The ball moved better and no big lulls in Caleb being involved in the offense

Guys seemed to be playing the roles you might hope to see. Really liked Evans with 5 shots in 10 mins off the bench

Not sure he needs to start but I also like Young playing more. He does some of the things this team is lacking

70% FT shooting is… better. Doubt if we will see much of an improvement over that and needs to be the bare minimum

Still a lot of the same on defense unfortunately. ND just couldn’t really expose it in the same way more athletic teams will

What’s up with Seth? He was moving around slow as hell out there. 5 points in 19 minutes

Would love to see MJ's commitment to defense. Right now he's hot or cold. Sometimes he's on point, sometimes he completely misses switches or can't be bothered to put his hand up to challenge the shot. Granted, it's hard for me to say if missed switches are him or the other guy... but he seems to be a common link in a lot of them.

Seth seemed like he got hurt a bit on that early play he went into the stands. After that he played stiff the rest of the game.

Agreed. He has been late to close out quite a bit and one of the primary culprits in not picking anyone up in transition

He will have a chance to make a big impact on that end vs UVA as the primary defender on De Ridder

Needs to be an all motor Caleb game and hopefully other guys can help carry the load offensively

I think he has been injured enough, and tried to play through the injury only to make it worse, that he is now a little tentative when he gets hurt.
I think you are correct here. I also suspect that he didn't feel the need to push himself yesterday. ND never really threatened to come back in the second half... partially our D, partially their poor execution on offense even when we made mistakes and gave them chances.

And yet he has virtually no chance of being a top 3 pick in the NBA draft. From what I understand, Peterson, Dybantsa and Boozer are penciled in. Also, as great as Caleb is, he's not even the best freshman in the conference.

Players have gotten really, really good. The average player in DI basketball now is just way, way better than a generation ago.
