I don't think that was the lesson here.

It's funny to me that people think that if the Heels had an 8 point lead with 8 minutes to go they would have lost by 13.

I think we all underestimate just how little respect our program has to be a major player in the sport any longer.

We are no longer seen as a rival to Duke. We are seen as an overhyped game in the ESPN pantheon.

Given how poorly we play at the end of every conference game, I would say is is possible and a lot more probable than you want to give it credit for.

No, I dont think it is a given and probably not likley, but you are being pretty silly by dismissing it as a possibility out of hand.

This Carolina team is really, REALLY bad in the closing minutes of basketball games.

dook is on a different level than everyone else right now.

UNC is in the second tier with a bunch of other programs.

At this point in time it's more about $ than anything else.

When they blow a 31 point lead in 8 minutes I'll give it to you.

Duke is not on another level than everyone else. There are a handful of teams better than Duke right now. Duke is on another level than us.

I disagree. Other programs compete with dook some years but no one is sustaining it year after year. UNC was better than dook just 2 seasons ago but aren't consistently able to acquire the talent that dook does.

And that's what I'm talking about, talent acquisition, dook is a level above. What they've done with it is another story.

They are the Dodgers without the rings.

I'm as serious as the conversation warrants. This team hasn't been great at closing games but has closed out some games quite well.

There's some randomness to these things. A double figure win where the lead shrinks isn't a big deal. Hell, maybe Hubert took Syracuse +11.5.
 
You guys are missing the brilliant strategy that the coaching staff employed in preparation for the dook** game.

Our staged performance last night will inflate the dook** team's confidence and they will laugh at us and anticipate a 25 point victory.

But then when dook** finds themselves up by only 4 points with 3 minutes to play, their team will panic and lose it's composure leading to an historic UNC comeback upset !
