All lost
If you're looking at what's posted on the ESPN site, he hasn't updated since Friday morning.

He put out his top 4 seeds & bubble update last night, but we weren't included in that.

I haven't seen an update since yesterday's games that includes us. (Which is a bit of BS as he ought to be updating early on Sunday morning following all the Saturday games 2 weeks from Selection Sunday.)

Well I would disagree.. But it seems like a better take than to continue to argue we should fire a coach who now is 23-6, has only had Trimble Wilson and veesaar all for 14 if 29 games and will play for a no.2 seed next week if we handle Clemson.
I don’t think our metrics can get high enough to warrant a 2 seed, even if we have a nice resume (would have the best win in the country at duke). I think Hubert has done a fine job this year and has done well adjusting with the injuries (he typically does his best work when his back is against the wall). I still have some concerns, particularly our defensive philosophy and getting consistent effort, but this has obviously been a better coaching job than last years disaster. Hopefully we can get a couple high level transfers from the portal and actually stack decent seasons

Win the next 5 with wins @dook, uva neutral site, and dook neutral site and the Heels will be 2 seed.

However that's a pretty much impossible ask.

I would rather be a 6 seed than a 5. Opposite side of the bracket from the 1-seed.
I know favorable seeds give you a better chance but I'll be damned if I can get too upset by a place or two. You have to be ready to face every team in the tournament once you qualify. I take about as much satisfaction out of playing well and losing to a one seed in the Sweet 16 as I do getting a lucky break or two to lose two rounds later. Yeah, the last sounds better but you're not a championship quality team that year either way.

Tournaments are a crapshoot in some ways. You only have to beat the teams that you face. It the 1-seed gets upset before you get to that game, then you have an easier path to the Final Four. In ncsux's 2024 run, they didn't have to face 3-seed Kentucky who was upset by Oakland, and they didn't have to face 1-seed Houston. In 2014, UConn didn't have to face 1-seed UVa in the regional final, and they then beat 8-seed Kentucky for the championship. In 2023, UConn (again) faced 8-seed Arkansas instead of 1-seed Kansas in the sweet 16, and got to the Final Four with 2 5-seeds and a 9-seed. I don't think UConn would trade those championships for losses to a 1-seed in the sweet 16.

No 5-seed has ever won the NCAA tournament, but a 6- 7- and 8-seed have.

Oh, I know the reality of luck, match ups and all that. I was just doing an old man rant on the focus on the fine details of the seedings. I understand that the best time doesn't always win and that you take advantage of every edge. I still can't get too excited about them.

I'd personally like to thank UNC for pulling the game out against us.

It's allowed Scheyer to light a fire under our defense. The NCAAT is going to be brutal. I want so bad to punk YouCONn by 20.

A 5 is due.
