Biorhythms for Wake Forest @UNC: 6 pm Tip, ACCN

Second game in a row where the the other team hit A LOT of contested 3s... also hit a fair number of open ones. This switching D does not seem to be working with the lack of athleticism of our guards. HD needs to try something different. But the anti-HD mafia is in drunken rare form over on IC.

At least one of the guards needs to take a step forward here in the next few weeks. It’s going to be really difficult to beat good teams if we keep playing like this.

I no longer belong to 247 or On3. What’s the reaction to the game?
I'm gonna reply to this twice just so I can add something...

There is someone on ICOn3 seriously making the argument that from 2012 until Roy retired, Carolina was an "average" basketball program.

I think that probably sums it up about as well as anything else does.

They are idiots.

The upside is Trimble, Vesscar and Wilson bring it almost every night. We need a couple or ,more of Stephenson, Powell, Luka, Evans and now young to step up. So we got lots of guys to work through when others are struggling.

Halfway through the season and they are relying on Jaydon Young mins to win them a game

Hard to think they are going to get much more from Boga or Evans

This team’s ceiling feels considerably lower than I would have said a couple weeks ago
Young gets a paycheck for a reason. Different guys need to step up at different times. I don't see him coming up big as a negative.

Defense and effort remain the biggest issues. The switching has to stop or we will continue to see teams light it up from 3.

On the bright side Young have solid minutes and looks like he could be in line for consistent minutes going forward

He’s on the floor primarily because the top two guard additions have ranged from inconsistent to unplayable

That’s a pretty big negative. Young making the most his opportunity isn’t of course
