Biorhythms for Wake Forest @UNC: 6 pm Tip, ACCN

Son of a bee stings. I don’t want to pay $60 to sign up for IC because I hate Shannon Terry. But, I want to know what’s going on.

This site is really getting to be my go to-get enough and not get overwhelmed with naysayers
I have kept my subscribtion because I do like some of the interviews-esp Tommy with Coach Forbes
 
I’ve got a very good friend who is a rabid Carolina fan like me. We were dorm mates to start off. We’ve played a lot of hoops. Our philosophies tend to match pretty well. Love him like a brother.

I would only watch a game with him in the Dean Dome though. Anywhere else, living room or a bar, where I have to hear his commentary about players and coaches - just not something I can stomach.

IC is/was kind of like that for me. I loved it - but can’t take the commentary of the fans, many of whom I probably basically agree with. I try to keep my own tempered by the reality of how much I really do not know and the fact that the players are 18 to 22 years old.

Many fans get far to involved.

It's like social media, they forget that there are people in the other side of their comments.
 
There are about 5 fire Hubert threads on IC. I wonder how much is racial. Can you imagine wanting to fire a coach averaging ,25 wins, 14-2, a bacot sprained ankle away from a natty and the guy who gave coach k two of his most humiliating defeats? Wonder what Dean would think. (Actually I don't)

I think a lot more than they are even conscious of. However, there's nothing to gain by getting into that. The ones conscious of it aren't changing and the ones unconscious of it are best convinced that Hubert does likely represent the best face for UNC in this unsettled time. I think this season is on track to justify it professionally and there are a fair number of intangibles that add to that. I don't particularly care to go in to it because I don't particularly expect anybody to value my opinion .

Exactly. I think Hubert is a great person and a good coach. I don't think he is a great coach, though. The biggest problem with Doh is his players didn't like him. I think the majority of Hubert's players like him.
 
I think it is fair to say there is an issue with the guard play, both on offense and defense. I think it's fair to say Hubert often doesn't have the best gameplan and doesn't make adjustments based on who they are playing, and is not great at making adjustments during games.

Same here, except for the subscription. Even before IC switched to On3 I found that this board provides nearly everything I need UNC-related, and lots of great political and pop culture discussions as well. I've never paid for an IC subscription but always just used the IC free boards until they became so toxic years ago that I quit posting and even reading them for the most part. I doubt I'll ever go back to either of the other boards (247 and On3) for anything.
 
There was a stretch in the first half where Wake makes 3 straight 3s that were wide open or barely contested

Easy to forget because the lead was comfortably 10-12 throughout but these are the plays that keep games close

The defense was a little better late when things tightened up. Wake was making more tough shots during that stretch
