Biorhythms for Wake Forest @UNC: 6 pm Tip, ACCN

We’ve got three tough games coming up on the road in the next four, especially the one at Virginia where we have struggled tremendously over the years. They look like one of the two best teams in the ACC as of right now, obviously it’s still way early in the season. Really hope we can win at least two of them.

The owner of On3, the network that IC is on. He also started 247, ICs former home. He’s a douche. In my opinion. Among other things, he allows stuff like this to be freely posted on his forums:

There’s way, way worse stuff. He’s a conservative shitbag.
I also kept my 247 or whatever it is
I was looking forward to "competition"
It will not last long I fear

Pretty funny that the people who claim to hate all of the talk about firing Hubert are actually the ones bringing it up unprompted in this thread instead of talking about the game itself.
That was preemptively done on purpose and one should know that. If something so obvious as that has to explained there is no help.

Just watched a replay of the game. Paused, stopped, rewind, slow Mo gave it a good look, the game. A couple of things jumped out.
1) We didn’t switch every single time. On the contrary. There were several instances where a player fought through screens. The second defender would hedge a bit, but not switch altogether.

2) Also, there were very few points scored by Wake Forest by way of pick and roll or pickn Pop or Wake catching us switching defensively which hurt us points-wise. Maybe once or twice in the first half.

3) Almost every single three-pointer Wake hit was well defended - the man in his face - hands up - running at, etc. I only counted two that could be considered “wide open” threes - no defensive pressure at all.

4) Several Wake made threes were from way downtown, beyond NBA 3. One was shot and made from Cullowhee on the floor map.

5) Both Harris and Calmese were simply hot and couldn’t miss. Rewatch the last 2 or 3 from Calmese… they were very deep threes, hands in his face… his last one was a long, fall-away three from the corner. It was such a fall away that he landed well out of bounds on his ass after the follow through. Defender was all over him. Looked like a lucky shot. But he was hot yesterday. Hats off to him.

6) Our D looked better yesterday than vs. SMU that’s for sure.

7) Forbes can coach and Wake is not weak.

And will add:
8) We scored 87 pts which is well above our season average of 81 ppg.
Shot well over 50% from the floor and hit 9 threes. Scoring/offense was not a problem yesterday, aside from too many turnovers.

9)That was a problem. 14 total, but 8 of those were in the first half. Trimmed that down to only 6 in the 2nd… but still too many for a game. We average just 10 TO pg. A couple of those TO’s resulted in points for Wake.

10) FT shooting still wanting. Missed 10. That and turnovers were the only things wrong with our offensive output. Have 4 fewer turnovers and hit 4 more FT’s and nobody on the game thread would have even hinted at Rèsumès. Especially if those 4 fewer turnovers had resulted in 6-10 more points for UNC.

Wake was tough. It was a close game. But cut out a few of the more egregious TOs and hit our season average from the line, and that would have been a double digit W with less stress.

Has there ever been a definitive statement as to why Cadeau left?
Not that I heard.
He wasn’t really recruited over.
Got all the PT anyone could ask for.
Handed the keys to the car as point guard from the get go last year.
Had a green light to shoot anytime, all year.
No locker room off court issues ever mentioned.

Guess he simply wanted, and got, more NIL

I think a lot more than they are even conscious of. However, there's nothing to gain by getting into that. The ones conscious of it aren't changing and the ones unconscious of it are best convinced that Hubert does likely represent the best face for UNC in this unsettled time. I think this season is on track to justify it professionally and there are a fair number of intangibles that add to that. I don't particularly care to go in to it because I don't particularly expect anybody to value my opinion .

He and Wilson are both studs and they are carrying this team.

I know we can't change the past, but I believe this is a better team with Cadeau.
On paper for sure.

I appreciate his mom remaining quiet...I followed her on social media, where she was a pretty strong and nigh ubiquitous presence. I doubt she appreciated some of the fan base commentary.

Yea cadeau was beat up good by our fans. He could get in the lane at will but didn't have anyone to dish too. Would have thrived on this team. Never heard Hubert didn't want back but I don't really know. He is having A-A Year.

That's a bit of a stretch. He's having a good year but 10 points , a little less than 6 assists and under two made threes a game, even in 23 minutes is not A-A,

That said, I wish he was here. He'd fit a lot better on this team.
