Black History Month

The growing consensus in the scientific community is that race, as it is traditionally defined, is imaginary; an artificial construct of man. There's no caucasian genetics or negroid genetics. It's just genetic similarities that naturally occur in isolated populations.

That being the case, what does it mean to recognize Black History Month?
True re: race is not a thing, but we're talking about slavery and culture.

Erasing history is not the answer.

To clarify, I'm not questioning the historical events. I'm asking what it means to be "black" or what it means to be "white" when race is something we made up.
White People's historical perception. 300+ years of slavery and 100 years of violating the 14th Amendment...and SCrOTUS is chipping away at the 14th.
