I typed out a whole damn novel explaining what happened and then just decided to delete it all and more succinctly say that the cause of the crash was the fact that you guys used up all of the resources that we pay for, because we’re all degenerate news junkies, and our web host also experienced some problems so basically we have to pay more to upgrade to a higher tier to prevent everything from crashing.

Since you all are so nice and I know some of you are thinking how can I help, we still have funds from the donation drive (and other donations) to cover the difference but the company who hosts us is based in the United Kingdom and everyone there is asleep.

So, we are afloat for now but we’ll have to upgrade tomorrow and then also put in place some measures to ensure what happened doesn’t ever happen again.

What costs so much in terms of resources? Gifs, thumbnails on links? My guess it's all the gifs. Maybe we should ration them.
 
Can someone do a wellness check on cford. Not much to do in the basement if he can’t post all day

Is there a difference, resource wise, between linking to images and uploading images from a phone/PC?
