Compared to his liberation day proclamations, Trump has substantially and consistently backed away from his initial tariffs approach. Why is that a loss for Dems who opposed it from the outset?

Yea, and your trying to ignore history. His conviction under Bush, yet trump was still hanging out with him. I don't recall Biden hanging out with him.

Why didn't Biden release? Maybe because his Presidency wasn't a reality show and they were focused on actual issues?

Wow, you must either be really disconnected from reality or choose really poor news choices if you don't see the negative impacts of the tariff turmoil. The uncertainty created alone is hurting small businesses.

Because you freaked out about tariffs before anything was ever enacted. And he hasn't wrecked the economy the way you predicted and cried about for months. It was pretty comical. He never intended to utilize them in the way he boasted about. But some of us have learned not to jump out of the window at every thing he says.

Not to insert myself into the conversation but my whole thing is that it would *appear* that by quite literally any objective measure that there is way too much smoke for there to be no fire. Maybe the fire is a little match. Maybe the fire is a little campfire. Maybe the fire is a full on five-alarm blaze. We don’t know yet. But it’s very clear, and I think anybody on either side who is even remotely honest can acknowledge that it is very suspicious looking. Maybe it’s something. Maybe it’s nothing. But it’s extraordinarily suspicious looking.

The especially frustrating part to me is that if this were a Democratic president, every single solitary person currently supporting or defending Trump would have already made up their mind beyond a shadow of a doubt that that person was as guilty as homemade sin. I mean, for heaven sake, the entire MAGA movement began because Donald Trump himself said that Barack Obama was born in Kenya, which led to millions upon millions of Americans believing that the first black president of the United States was born in Africa and not eligible to be president of the United States.

So come on, now. We have documented proof that Donald Trump was extremely close friends with one of the most notorious child sex traffickers ever known. We have documented proof that Donald Trump was on that sex trafficker’s plane at times. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe we have proof that Donald Trump attended parties at the home of said sex trafficker. Said sex trafficker mysteriously died while in custody of the president of the United States in 2019, who happened to be Donald Trump. Donald Trump is on record many times as having openly lusted after his own teenage daughter. He’s on record multiple times as having bragged about being able to walk in on naked teenagers because he was the owner of the beauty pageant. Donald Trump has been accused by dozens and dozens of women of sexual assault. Donald Trump has been found civilly liable for sexual assault by a jury of his peers.

Now, look, it’s entirely possible that quite literally every single one of those pieces of evidence are completely independent, and totally coincidental. It’s entirely possible! But…… It is extraordinarily unlikely. Surely anyone on either side of the political or ideological spectrum can acknowledge that there is a whole shit ton of thick, heavy smoke for there to be no fire.

Are you saying the small business owner i read about the other day that went under during because of delayed deliveries and tariff cost is a liar? Because your business might be doing on, isn't the standard.

Additionally the economist I've read say we have not seen the worst of the tariffs to this point.

I acknowledge and appreciate that you have. But there are 220 members in the Republican caucus in Congress who have now blocked it four times. That’s a problem.

Release the files. Let the chips fall where they may. Throw every single Democrat and every single Republican implicated under the jail. No one is above the law.
