Coach Earl Grant Wisdom = 100

Look-In: This all feels pretty weird. I reviewed past game biorhythms and was not able to find a worse collective grouping for the Tar Heels than appears for today’s game versus Boston College. Add in that the Golden Eagle squad was unique in being stingy with publicly providing birthdates, so much to the degree that I simply forsook the pursuit of their biorhythms. Coach born-on-days are always findable though and Earl Grant is locked into a rare 100% Wisdom arc. But we persevere – here’s what we know about Boston College, better known as “The Unwanted: where hitman Danya Abrams and hooligan Bill Curley went to school” (IYKYK). Boston College has lost 5 in a row (UVA, dook, Notre Dame, Syracuse, and Georgia Tech) and is 9-10 with one good win over Boise State back in November to its name. They are led by Donald Hand Jr., a big (6-5) and tough (6.6 rpg) guard and the son of Donald Hand Sr., a stand-out at Virginia in the late 1990s. He averages 14.2 ppg (shooting 37% from Three). Hand is a good player with a increasingly complete game. Imported from St. Bonaventure hefty Chad Venning (6-9, 270) bullies around the paint on offense (12.8 ppg) but no great knack for rebounding. Sophomore Charlottean Elijah Strong has done well (10.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg) but has been sidelined with an “Illness” since their loss to dook on January 18. If he’s back (no word) he could be trouble inside. Otherwise the Golden Eagles start four guards with a fifth, Fred Payne (6-1, 6.6 ppg) getting increasingly good minutes off the bench (he scored 17 in 29 minutes in the recent loss to the Cavaliers). BC won 20 games last season but lost 90% of its offense (and BIG MAN Quentin Post). Earl Grant is a good coach but this team is bad in the main. This year’s team IS a throwback to the Abrams/Curley depravity. But Carolina can’t take anything for granted.

Frontcourt: Jalen Washington is a bright spot with a 90 Physical and Lubin is middlin’. Claude remains obscured but actually has the best biorhythms on the team. James Brown is fired up and smart.

Wings: Drake Powell’s rhythms are dipping at present while Ian Jackson is clinging to an outstanding Positivity arc. Cade Tyson is all below the fold. Bringing Withers into this category to report that he is excited (agitated? unsettled?).

Guards: Cadeau, like Powell is dipping but R.J. Davis, while also showing arcs heading south, is still has a good overall (second best on the team). Seth Trimble has some good arcs to work with – in particular Intel.

Overall: Rough biorhythms contra No biorhythms. This is Carolina’s last home game before heading into games at Pitt, at dook, home with Pitt, at Clemson, at Syracuse, and then home versus state college. That will take us through February 19 (25 days). I am somewhat comforted by the cyclical nature of biorhythms and that today their status is quite low and there is a point where they must begin again to rise. Which is in most cases – NOW. Carolina will have to keep Venning from turning the paint into a battle zone – of course how the game is officiated will be important. BC is also a yappy bunch so a cool demeanor will go far for the Heels today. This could be an ugly game if Carolina doesn’t start fast and put the Eagles in the rear view mirror from the get-go. Ritmos don’t really show any stars save some good athleticism from Washington and Davis (and Claude should he play). We’re not particularly thoughtful but Coach Davis is, thankfully. In a year of being frequently OFF, UNC Biorhythms and Chapel Hill History are reluctant to call substantial margins of victory (though so many last minute decisions don’t yield well to anyone’s prognostications in these times). Las Vegas says UNC by 18.5. We can’t go that far in front. Happy with an eleven point win. If it is ugly and they swallow the whistles it’ll be closer than that.

Looking at the schedule. We really need a win today because the next 4 games are going to be a challenge.

Hate trying to figure out how to watch these CW games

Had to watch a low quality internet stream of the pathetic Stanford game

Where do you live? I bet there is an over the air CW affiliate in your area.

I'm in Pittsburgh but not paying for cable/streaming right now. Able to watch most networks through streaming apps or cheap antenna but no CW

YTTV is offering a free trial so reactivated my account. Don't really use it til March

I hope pregame warmups are no indication for Cadeau. It is not an exaggeration to say he's missed 95% of the shots he's taken pregame...including the layups.

thetvapp.to usually has a pretty good stream and I don't get a lot of issues with popups or virus warnings.

I can't get the CW at my house OTA for some reason, so I had to figure something out to watch the CW games.
