They will be passing within a mile or so of my home here in Fort Mill on Wednesday…I should probably go see them.

I saw them in South Carolina last week. It was at a crossroads in the middle of nowhere. There were maybe 50-100 people there. My son & I flashed peace signs to them as they walked by. A couple of them smiled and waved back. The only sound was the sound of their steps and the rustle of their clothes. The relative silence was powerful, particularly in this loud, boisterous time of evil and discord. To be left with quiet thoughts of peace and determination was moving and inspiring.

Pretty good crowd as they passed through Fort MIll this morning. Cold and Rainy, but cool experience and glad I went. They are lunching at the Ann Close Springs Greenway and should be crossing into NC mid afternoon I would think.

The monks are staying tonight at the Marion Diehl Recreation Center on Tyvola Rd. They will be greeting visitors at the rec center from 6-9 PM. My wife and her friend plan to go. No way I’m dealing with a crowd like that.
