I just want to be sure our resident Pubs know what happened here.

1. Trump caused 2.2 billion gallons of water to be released from NoCal reservoirs in the middle of winter (the rainy season in CA), which ultimately spread across a dry lakebed until it either evaporated or soaked into the ground.

2. That water did nothing whatsoever to benefit a Californian. Not someone impacted by the LA wildfires. Not CA farmers, whose crops are almost entirely dormant right now.

3. Based on prior years, CA farmers will almost certainly need every drop of water available to irrigate their fields and crops in the growing season, which is also CA's dry season.

4. There are 2.2 BILLION GALLONS OF WATER that could have been used for the benefit of CA's farmers (which feed America in many ways), but that are no longer available because Donald J. Trump is a fucking moron who ordered that the water be released into the atmosphere in a season when it was not needed and could not make a beneficial difference.

None of the above is even remotely arguable. This is what you voted for, Pubs. This is what governance by the idiotic gets us.

His understanding of hydrology is a few levels below his understanding of bankruptcy procedures.

LA Times: "Six months after the fires, The Times individually contacted over a hundred organizations that received FireAid funds, nonprofits in food aid, housing, mental health, childcare and ecological resilience. A review of the beneficiaries’ grants and work showed how FireAid was an urgent lifeline in the worst of the disaster and beyond."

Gavin is too slick by half, but his aggression towards Trump is the correct tactic. Sociopaths only understand personal risk and power, and feed off others supplicating themselves in advance. When you punch back the bully looks weak and foolish. It’s why Trump appeared like a doddering shell when Powell fact checked him in real time.

Agreed. But if this Gavin is what we got all the time, I'd not be so annoyed with him. He's defending California and responding in an appropriate way.
