I was still pretty annoyed this morning at the flea flicker call by Canales, and then I convinced myself if the play had somehow resulted in a TD it would have been called back for holding, lol. This is how I cope.

Calling the play dead was bad enough. But then ruling it out of bounds when the ball never went out of bounds, resulting in a 6- or 7-yard loss when the ball was previously just within field goal range? If you’re going to screw that call up and blow the play dead as if it were a dropped forward pass, at least be consistent and treat it as a dropped forward pass and give it back to us at the previous line of scrimmage. The refs basically made up a call that was a total lie to try to cover their asses, and in doing so caused us to lose yards and take us out of field goal range. They should be fired.

Blowing the call is one thing. Making something up that is detrimental to the team you just screwed by blowing the call to cover your ass is inexcusable and should warrant termination.
