It also really hurt us in that final minute

I was just saying pretty much the exact same thing to my son. Plus we went after Ben Johnson and he gave us the Heisman and took the Chicago job the next year. This Bears/Packers game was salt in the wound. They had an eerily similar go ahead TD drive to take a 4 point lead late, but they found a way to get a stop on defense to end the game.
As solid as Bryce was today, Caleb Williams is just so obviously several cuts above him as a player. The fact that they were the team that fleeced us in that trade and DJ Moore caught the go-ahead TD is just the cherry on top.
It’s crazy we get nervous and cheer at home and it’s already over. Cheering to change the past.We live seven blocks from B of A Stadium and tonight was the first time we’ve ever heard the roar of the crowd at our house. BTW, the Fox telecast on YouTube TV was almost two minutes behind real life.
He’ll get it but for lifetime achievement. That’s for another threadI don't know if MVP is a regular season only award, but Stafford sure as hell did not help his case if this one counts. I was shocked to see headlines about his MVP level performance. Yes, he led a game winning drive but why was a game winning drive against a Panthers team that muffed a punt even necessary? Stafford did not play too well.
Lol I always think about that too right before watching a big play on TV. It’s weird knowing that in real time the play already transpired for better or for worse in real life. It’s crazy we get nervous and cheer at home and it’s already over. Cheering to change the past.
I'm a Rams fan btw. The team peaked too early it seems. They have really crapped the bed the last few games. I saw people on this game thread talking about how the Rams offense is so dangerous and I suppose it can be. But recently it's been scarier more in theory than in practice. He’ll get it but for lifetime achievement. That’s for another thread![]()
They have one of the best O lines in the NFL. Stafford is as immobile as they come and was only sacked 23 times in 17 games. Has Nacua and Adams as wideouts. And arguably the best collective group of TE’s in the NFL. So their offense should be good and Stafford should have had a really good season. Just think Maye is more the MVP this year. Plus while nitpicky, Stafford had quite a few TD’s that were very short yardage. Their game with Jax comes to mind. Stafford had 182 yards passing and 5 TD’s. They were TD’s of 31 yards, 5 yards, 2 yards, 1 yard and 1 yard. Seems a little stat paddingI'm a Rams fan btw. The team peaked too early it seems. That's a weird claim about the TEs because TE was a weakness. I'm not saying you're wrong; I wouldn't know. I do think that the Rams picked a TE in the second or third round because they needed help there, and i don't think he caught a pass until halfway through the season. They have one of the best O lines in the NFL. Maybe it will be like last season where Jackson was the offensive player of the year and Allen was the MVP.
