We also skipped out on an extra point.Had we kicked a field goal earlier instead of being stupid, we are leading
Whether or not the opposing team is good is meaningless with this team. We can go into Green Bay and beat a good Packers team and we can allow a horrible team like NO to beat us at home.I agree it was an awesome game from Young. Of course, the Falcons aren't reslly a good team. And the problem with the Panthers is they aren't consistent from one game to the next.
I think the Seattle is their best chance to get a win from the NFC West. They should beat New Orelans, and hopefully can at least split with the Bucs.Dan Morgan has done wonders with the roster in two years. There is still a long way to go, but he has brought in key players in the last two drafts and has significantly shored up both the OL and DL during free agency. Next he needs linebackers and pass rushers. Scourton and Princely appear to be long term contributors but he needs more strength and depth there next year.
They still have to play the Niners, Rams, and Seahawks, plus division games against the Bucs (twice) and a revenge match against the Saints. If they can beat the Saints, split with the Bucs, and figure out how to win one of this games vs the NFC West, they will end with a winning record which exceeds my preseason expectations for this team.
I think the 49ers can be got. It’s a home game for the Niners but being Monday night helps the Panthers with the west coast travel. They get the Rams on a short week, but that game’s in CLT. I don’t think the Panthers can beat the Rams, but SF or SEA (also in CLT) are potential wins.I think the Seattle is their best chance to get a win from the NFC West. They should beat New Orelans, and hopefully can at least split with the Bucs.
Well said. I read some of the negativity on this thread and scratch my head. This franchise has been horrible for years, and they're actually coming back and winning games.Honestly, if you had told me at the beginning of the year that the Panthers would be 6-5 at this stage of the season with a real chance at the playoffs I'm not sure I would have believed it. They've definitely excelled expectations so far this year, although whether they can finish with a winning record is still iffy at best. At least they're still in the running, so I'll take it.
