Charlie Kirk as a martyr

Not to sound insensitive but people have short attention spans, especially chronically online conservatives. My guess is they will gnash their teeth about this for a week or two and then something else will take over the news cycle.
As I recall most of conservative online media was every bit this much outraged about Cracker Barrel's logo change

Never knew how many of my FB friends are eaten up with rightwing politics. Especially the women... lots of women are outraged... WTF. Bizzarro world.
Especially given what he's said about women and their "biblical role" in society over the years. I guess some people actually enjoy having their rights taken away and being limited to very narrow and constrained social, political, and economic roles.

I posted a much longer post on the other Charlie Kirk thread, but I've also seen a lot of "Kirk was killed for standing up for biblical values, he's a martyr" stuff on facebook today. And I've been surprised at some of the people posting it, as they are people who usually don't post much about politics or culture war stuff. And no mention, of course, of all of the controversial and, yes, hateful things he's said over the years. But I guess it's to be expected.

Not to be too weird
But people get all wiggly when someone gets "assassinated"

This is exactly why I don't want anyone taking any more shots at Trump. People have already been fashioning likenesses of him as a deity in various media and we definitely don't need him fast tracked to martyr or quasi-sainthood status.

For the record, MAGA still believes both of these incidents were carried out by leftists, even in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary, simply because it's what they want to be true. There are multiple examples of this on the old ZZL in the past 24 hours.
Yep. Trump's shooter was a registered Republican, but good luck convincing Trumpers of it.
