Charlie Kirk as a martyr

I agree with Walsh here — a grieving widow should get some space to grieve but this was a political and intentionally divisive speech … I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t write it but in the end she delivered it.

It’s who the right is. Always blaming the left for violence but them doing it and inciting it. Hell a conservative shot Trump in the ear and they still say it was a liberal.

I receive daily emails from several substack reporters.
This is yesterday's from Zeteo:

Charlie Kirk in His Own Words

17 quotes you should read from the right-wing activist and Trump ally who was tragically shot and killed on Wednesday in Utah.

Black people

  • “Happening all the time in urban America, prowling Blacks go around for fun to go target white people, that’s a fact. It’s happening more and more.” ()

Black pilots

  • “If I see a Black pilot, I’m gonna be like, ’Boy, I hope he’s qualified.’” ()

Black women

  • “They're coming out, and they're saying, 'I'm only here because of affirmative action.' Yeah, we know. You do not have the brain processing power to otherwise be taken really seriously. You had to go steal a white person's slot to go be taken somewhat seriously." ()

Civil rights

  • “We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the mid-1960s.” ()

Death penalty

  • "[Death penalties] should be public, should be quick, should be televised… I think at a certain age, it’s an initiation… At what age should you start to see public executions?"

Democrats

  • “The Democrat Party supports everything that God hates.”

Empathy

  • "I can't stand the word empathy, actually. I think empathy is a made up new age term that does a lot of damage."

Feminism

  • “Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor. You're not in charge."

Gay people

  • “You might want to crack open that Bible of yours. In a lesser referenced part of the same part of scripture, is in Leviticus 18 is that, ‘thou shalt lay with another man shall be stoned to death.’ Just sayin’! So Miss Rachel, you quote Leviticus 19… the chapter before affirms God’s perfect law when it comes to sexual matters.”

George Floyd

  • “This guy was a scumbag.”

Great Replacement Theory

  • “It's not a Great Replacement Theory, it's a Great Replacement Reality. Just this year, 3.6 million foreigners will invade America. 10-15 million will enter by the end of Joe Biden's term. Each will probably have 3-5 kids on average while native born Americans have 1.5 per couple. You are being replaced, by design.”

Guns

  • “It’s worth to have a cost of, unfortunately, some gun deaths every single year so that we can have the Second Amendment.”

Jews

  • “Jewish donors have been the number one funding mechanism of radical open-border, neoliberal, quasi-Marxist policies, cultural institutions and nonprofits. This is a beast created by secular Jews and now it’s coming for Jews, and they're like, ‘What on Earth happened?’ And it's not just the colleges. It's the nonprofits, it's the movies, it's Hollywood, it's all of it.”

Martin Luther King Jr.

  • “MLK was awful. He's not a good person. He said one good thing he actually didn't believe.”

Muslims

  • “They aren’t even hiding their intentions. Muslims plan to conquer Europe by demographic replacement. Will Europe wake up in time?”

Palestine

  • “I don’t think the place exists.”

Transgender people

  • “You’re an abomination to God.”
Yeah, it’s been absolutely hilarious the attempted lionization of this dude. It’s horrific the way that he died. He did not deserve to die the way that he died. Nobody does. But he, through his own choices, created the circumstances that made himself a target for a deranged lunatic. Of course, that does not mean that his death is his fault. It’s not. But it does mean that the folks trying to make this guy out to be some saint who was killed only because he claimed to love Jesus Christ, sound like goobers.

But they don’t just sound like hypocritical goobers, that’s letting them off way too easily… anyone lionizing this guy is a racist fuck, plain and simple.

They’re not allowed to revise and deodorize his history as they see fit. If they’re supporting him without acknowledging and disclaiming the views that made him so malignant and dangerous, then they’re effectively espousing those views. And they can fuck right off too.

To say otherwise is to implicitly admit your ideology is bankrupt, you aren’t as powerful as you claim, and you and your bedfellows are a threat to civil society. Gotta keep up the “family values” and “law and order” kayfabe.

“… Clemson University has faced massive backlash, and even calls to be defunded, from Republican lawmakers and the late far-right activist’s online followers after failing to dismiss one of its staff members for making comments critical of Kirk following his death on Wednesday.

… Melvin Earl Villaver Jr, an assistant professor of audio technology and global black studies in Clemson’s Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, is understood to have shared a variety of posts ridiculing Kirk’s assassination.

“Worried about DEI and DIED instead,” one now-deleted post reportedly read, with another adding: “Charlie Kirk recently said to a Palestinian that there’s no such thing as Palestinians. Well now look… there’s no longer such a thing called Charlie Kirk.” …”

.., Clemson has since said in a statement it “unequivocally condemns any and all expressions that endorse, glorify or celebrate political violence.” While the college did not directly address any of the posts Villaver is understood to have written, Republican State Representative Thomas Beach claims the university has not yet taken action against either him, or any other members of staff who may have made negative comments about Kirk in recent days.

… “The SC legislature appoints six members of the 13-member board of trustees at Clemson,” Beach posted on X. “I think we need to know which board members didn’t want these leftist professors fired.” …”

Impossible. I refuse to believe that Saint Charles ever said any of those things.

Fake news!

I will still feel awful for her as a widow and as the mother of two innocent young children who lost their daddy, but she's not doing herself any favors with this stuff.

Certainly a.....choice...to film and post this on her social media.

To be honest, the longer she keeps posting and saying stuff like this it's going to look very much like she's just already planning on taking over her husband's grift and becoming the next Charlie Kirk, not, as she says, to promote Jesus and Christianity, but to keep stirring up division and bringing in that sweet, sweet cash that has no doubt given her a very nice lifestyle. She may well have loved and cared for her husband, but based on her initial actions and social media posts it certainly looks as if she's wasting no time in taking over his enterprises and advertising herself as his heir apparent.

How many widows are there in Ukraine? Charlie Kirk helped created more widows than did Tyler Robinson ever could.

Shit happens. Kids lose their fathers sometimes. Just because her husband doesn't make her kids special. I mean, I won't argue with you if you say that this is horrible for them. I just don't know why we would care more than the other millions of kids who don't have or know their fathers.

Her crying on the tarmac was 100% genuine and hard to watch.

At this point I am going to operate under the assumption that her videos are her way of coping which is definitely pure 21st century.

That in no way justifies her use of the “they” implying that her husband’s death was caused by more than one deranged person. I get the desire to attach a larger meaning to the death of a loved one but provoking us against them is irresponsible.
