The double standard going on here is vast and getting larger by the day. Republicans can mock the death of Democrats, as with the death of the Democratic Minnesota legislator, with no consequences whatsoever. We're seeing all kinds of calls for violence against liberals since Kirk's death, again with no consequences. And leading the charge has been Dear Leader and Elon Musk. But if Democrats do the same (or even less, such as simply posting Kirk's actual statements and quotes) then it's the worst and most vile crime ever committed and that person's life and career must be utterly destroyed. It's gone beyond the ridiculous and is becoming downright dangerous.

A friend of mine sent a quick video clip of a group of people (looked like all white men) walking along a road in Charlotte yesterday, all wearing masks and hats. I couldn’t tell what was going on but my other friends on the text thread said it looked like some alt-right group. Now that I see this, that seems to be what it was. Looks like a modern-day Klan rally.

When we decline to speak ill of the dead, it’s because we have compassion for the living. In this respect, I am sorry for Kirk’s children. I don’t know if Kirk was a good father, but if he was, that does little to mitigate the damage he did to other people’s children. I can only hope for the sake of his kids that they have role models who will teach them that it is wrong to profit off the dehumanization of people because of who they are.

The white face coverings help distinguish them from ICE, which tends to go with a dark face covering,

Our school board rep was pressured to resign after making an anti-Kirk post on IG.

Youngkin and the Lt. Gov both chimed in on it.
 




None of this is meant to suggest he deserved to be murdered, just a reminder that his whitewashed modern day Jesus makeover is highly inaccurate.

That's a real whopper, even for him. And not only Pelosi, but he's mocked a number of people who have died or at least their relatives and loved ones. After the Minnesota state legislator was killed he said he wouldn't call Tim Walz to offer condolences because he had "shaky hands" and other crap. He lies about everything all the time, but claiming that the violent rhetoric is coming only from the left and that the right never does such things is completely ridiculous.
