I hear ya, but the reason why it matters is because until or unless we can come to an understanding that, no, it’s not the transgender people and, no, it’s not the Blacks or the Browns (or insert whatever minority group of your choosing) that are fomenting the political violence in the country, and yes, it’s the guns, and yes, it’s the violent nihilistic rhetoric, and yes, it’s the “othering”, and yes, it’s the internet/social media, we won’t be able to move forward out of this cycle of tragedy after tragedy after tragedy, senseless killing after senseless killing after senseless killing.
 
And if the narrative about the shooter doesn’t do the trick, it will be — already is, to a degree — the reaction of the left. Some liberals have been ugly in their reaction, in my opinion. Some have expressed conflicted feelings. But, overall, very few have celebrated Kirk’s murder, it seems to me.

But using that broad brush sets them up to go after all Democrats.

It’s a scary deal.

Well if one side is correct that could result in the removal of half the country’s civil rights or unthinkable levels of political violence. I take the words from people like Stephen Miller at face value. The threats are clear and real.

If the other side is correct we all get together and disavow political violence.

Liberals are responsible for the most obscure idiots on tiktok, but the right apparently isn't responsible for:
  • the overwhelming majority of shooters being white male right-wingers
  • Brian Kilmeade calling for the lethal injection of homeless people
  • Trump threatening the lives and livelihoods of countless Americans
  • Stephen Miller literally saying they are going to steal your savings and get you fired for saying critical things about Charlie Kirk's self professed beliefs
  • Laura Loomer, the most influential right winger who is not officially in this admin, calling for Trump to become a dictator and to summarily “silence” liberals
  • tens of thousands of online magas outright calling for the mass murder of liberals
