Charlie Kirk shot and killed at Utah rally.

I prefer sympathy to poison ivy. That doesn't mean I think poison ivy is fine.

He "preferred" sympathy because sympathy is ultimately about condescension. It's about feeling pity and sorrow for others. Empathy is an equalizing concept. That's why it is is commonly associated with Jesus Christ.
Also why I disagreed with him. You articulated that beautifully. Thank you.

So you basically agree with me and aren’t buying the crazy theory being floated here that Robinson assassinated Charlie because he was a squishy MAGA?
I know that this is hard for you to understand, but Wayne is saying that we don’t know enough, yet, to say one way or the other. There is still too much conflicting information. One way or another, though, the truth will come out in the coming days.

I’ll take the L if and when it’s an L. Has anyone here taken the L for asserting the Minn school shooter was MAGA when (again) the shooter turned out to be trans?

If the shooter actually assassinated Charlie because he believed he was not right enough then that would be one of the more improbable events in recent history. It’s so improbable that I’m not buying it. It was reported by a family member that at a recent dinner Robinson stated that Kirk was coming to town and that he hated Kirk “for spreading so much hate”. Does that sound like a neo nazi right winger?
It sounds like someone who listens to Nick Fuentes and Lara Loomer.

My interpretation of that and the pilot comment was that he was saying seemingly incompetent (moronic - his word) women that have risen to positions that require higher levels of competence to perform those jobs well solely based on race.
Yes, that is the propaganda that you have clearly encompassed, as evidenced by referencing DEI several times in this very thread. It is apparently a very effective way to make white males feel they're being discriminated against.

Of course, there's no evidence of women or minorities being unqualified for their positions, but that doesn't stop some conservatives from using the term to criticize any person who is not a white male. I'm sure that is just a coincidence, though.

An actual unqualified hire would be someone with no experience other than being a contributor on a slanted news channel or a big donor. Can you think of anyone like that?

Judge for yourself.

I can't look at the two clips and then say racist because of the dire contradictions in the two and he was singling out 4 specific people. What I can say about that clip is it is bothersome and
1) Extremely callous and spoken in a hurtful way. I can see why some view it as racist.
2) Unintelligent - By all accounts he was very intelligent so why make your point in a manner that is going to be offensive and obstruct the point trying to be made
3) Arrogant - Again, why speak in a manner that turns people off to the very points your platform is trying to grow.
4) Lacking wisdom - I doubt he knew the backgrounds of all 4 well enough to make such claims

I don't suspect that these are the only two clips that show compassion and sincerity and hurtful. bigoted content. What I haven't been able to determine is, given his ability to reach young people, WHY, outside of $$$ he could go from one extreme to another given his agenda.

Which is why empathy drives people to make bad decisions. You equalize your feelings with their feelings, then make decisions based on feelings rather than reason. They put themselves in the place of the other person and, "well gosh, they'd just be so sad if.... so, we shouldn't do that!"

I don’t, honestly, know.

Gandhi used empathy to make Britain walk out of India. What have you done?

If Kirk was using his vitriol to hate on white supremacists, then a groyper could feel and believe that Kirk was spreading hate.
