Charlie Kirk shot and killed at Utah rally.

So it's going to be pointless spin rather than informative?

Great.
Yup. i turned off the news as it was clear when it does show up, it will be useless. No point in my inhaling hours and hours of pointless speculation as the appetizer to a main course of admin rubbage.

People have always had a choice to get vaccines. Parents have a choice to vaccinate their kids. The federal government should't be using its power to try to force every employed person to get vaccinated.
I'm glad we have the choice to ignore people on here, too.

From a sociological standpoint, this witness reaction to the shooting is incredible. Like it belongs in a textbook. It’s real. (it’s not graphic or anything)

I don’t even know what to say.

What a GD moron. He's actively blocking the path that folks are using to escape directly after gunfire from an unknown source. What a damn idiot.

(I'm also mad he's wearing a Seattle Mariners hat. Why can't that fool be a bandwagon Yankees fan?)

You have a choice to get vaccinated, but you don't if you want to join the Army or, in most cases, attend schools. There is certainly a case to be made that you should have to get one to minimize risk to others in a non-personal environment.

Again, the Federal government mandates any number of things that businesses and individuals must do. You can agree or disagree, but a cogent argument can be made for the government to enforce things for the common good. What if the mortality rate had been 4%? or 10%? or caused a far more severe reaction? Surely you can envision a scenario where it would make sense for the federal government should enforce measures for the good of society?

Apparently, however, according to this guy you should go to church on Sunday and read the Book of Mormon. Not sure how it'd help though.

I work at a Hospital, although I'm not allowed to mingle with the patients ;) (I'm a scientist). But I have to get a flu vaccine every Fall, or I lose my job. It's not a big deal, just get the fucking vaccine.

Seeing a few folks getting fired for celebrating his death on social media. How could someone be that dumb?

The Panthers apparently fired someone too.

I realize the irony given what we’re doing on this thread, but I can’t imagine publicly sharing my take on or reaction to *any* current event in this climate. My social media is now back to being for funny cat videos only.

What actually happened: the Speaker asked for a moment of silence, Boebert yelled out that silent prayers get the silent treatment from God and demanded a spoken prayer. Grumbling broke out from both sides and then I believe some Democrats asked for a moment of silence for the Denver shooting too and then more grumbling happened.

It's always amazing to me how limited a supposedly omnipotent deity is in the eyes and actions of so many Christians. If my god were unable (or unwilling) to respond fully because the prayer wasn't spoken aloud, I'd be pretty embarrassed about claiming that god.
