I'm simply saying that when the right makes it a policy to glorify and promote political violence, they shouldn't act surprised when that violence actually happens to someone that they agree with. It is akin to a 400 round man running around and calling everyone else fat, but when someone suggests he look in the mirror he cries foul.

They’re really making him out to be a George Will type.

And a few people I know have posted remembrances that frame him mostly as a strong Christian. If he’s the face of Christianity (or even just a prominent member)- intentionally and continually posting and speaking in an inflammatory manner rather than focusing on works and good will- it’s no wonder religion in America is faltering.

But they’ll never put 2 and 2 together.
