Charlie Kirk shot and killed at Utah rally.

so looking at that mug shot, I am certain he is not transgender. We will need more info to see whether he is BLM, Antifa, LGBTQ, atheist, Hamas, or a supporter of AOC.
Or a former member of the USMNT.

Am I imagining things or does he look like Landon Donovan in that mug shot?

Kind of the classic age for schizophrenia to kick in...............
That kind of reminds me of someone I used to know (not the killing part of this whole thing). I went to high school with a guy who was super bright, an excellent student, well-liked. and a really good guy. After his junior year he left the school we went to, a private school, to attend public school. Nothing wrong with that in itself, but it seemed odd at the time that he decided to switch schools at that point in in his academic career. Then late in his senior year, during spring semester, he dropped out of school altogether. That was really surprising considering how smart he was and how close he was to graduating. At some point after that, he attempted suicide. He was subsequently diagnosed with schizophrenia.

The last I knew of him, he was doing well on medication and was capable of living on his own (but with a great deal of family involvement). That was over 20 years ago, though. I hope he’s still doing well. I thought very highly of him.

Based on available information about the casings, I would guess that he does hold "anti-fascist" political positions. I'd also guess that he is very online.

Moving forward, my guess is that red state legislatures are going to ignore the "online" part of the problem and instead use the killing to intervene in university curricula on the grounds that professors (humanities professors in particular) were responsible for radicalizing this otherwise "normal" gun-loving white Mormon.

One of the hardest things about being a teacher is watching, in consecutive years, the lights of two of the brightest (all possible meanings of the word) students that I have taught dimmed by schizophrenia.

How does that work? If any member of the "right" celebrates political violence, then all Republicans, or anyone who can be considered to be on the "right", should expect they might be killed and it's ok?
How about we start with the guy who was literally celebrating political violence. Who answered a question "when do we get to use the guns" with "don't say that, it's what they want you to say."

I'm completely OK with how it went down. Terrible person dead. Another person is going to be punished for his actions. World is a better place for it.

So, based on the bullet markings, we’re going to be blaming this one on video games?

There is a correlation vs. causation discussion to be had about video game culture.

People who are mentally ill and have social relationship challenges are attracted to the Discord/gaming community -- as a way to have community without the IRL challenges. Thus, one would expect a lot of anti-social behavior from a community that is disproportionally mentally ill.

Banning smoking in public areas is not the same as a government forcing you to be injected with something.

It's really pretty amazing to see how many people support the idea of the government forcing basically every employed person in the country to get vaccinated and not even blink an eye.
I can't believe that people don't think the government should have that right in the face of a novel virus killing millions of people. I think people could reasonably debate at what point the risk to the public outweighs the harms of government compulsion, and people have had that debate regarding COVID, but the idea that there isn't a point at which the government could compel us all to get vaccinated seems crazy to me.

Every state government in the country (soon to exclude Florida - hooray!) requires every child that attends public school to get a number of vaccines. I really fail to see how that's much different in scope than compelling adults to get them. It's not like the government was forcing employers to bear the costs of vaccinating their employees, or even forcing the employees to bear the cost.

This is what the Supreme Court said about vaccine mandates 120 years ago:

There are manifold restraints to which every person is necessarily subject for the common good. On any other basis organized society could not exist with safety to its members. Society based on the rule that each one is a law unto himself would soon be confronted with disorder and anarchy. Real liberty for all could not exist under the operation of a principle which recognizes the right of each individual person to use his own, whether in respect of his person or his property, regardless of the injury that may be done to others. This court has more than once recognized it as a fundamental principle that persons and property are subjected to all kinds of restraints and burdens in order to secure the general comfort, health, and prosperity of the state; of the perfect right of the legislature to do which no question ever was, or upon acknowledged general principles ever can be, made, so far as natural persons are concerned.

...

Upon the principle of self-defense, of paramount necessity, a community has the right to protect itself against an epidemic of disease which threatens the safety of its members.

So you spent all of that time coming up with a grand total of zero examples of Biden inciting violence. Just as I thought.

As someone else said, you reap what you sow. When the right, starting with the leader of the GOP, openly encourages political violence, they lose the right to play the victim.

I thought they were trying to say he was antifa? Or is that just Zen?
If you think the Right is interefering with and taking over universities now, just wait until this sinks in and red-state legislatures and the Trump administration starts demanding that colleges and universities abolish entire departments and try to start writing their curricula. Because it's coming, and people like Chris Rufo will be leading the charge.
