Charlie Kirk shot and killed at Utah rally.

I would think a racist, if truly a racist would have nothing but abhorrent views as it relates to race. Could you envision david duke speaking with that woman in such a manner.
racism is a spectrum. One can have conscious or unconscious bias. If your line for who is and is not racist is David Duke, then you are setting the bar incredibly high.

How is sharing someone’s own words “out of context”? Is there a different way to interpret someone saying that deaths from gun violence is a necessary sacrifice for us to have a Second Amendment?
I was not referring to anything you said or anything recent on here. Instead someone mentioned he said he did not believe in empathy. He did say that. But he meant he thought it was impossible to see something through another's eyes. Instead he preferred the word sympathy. And yes, a person's own words can be edited to remove context. All I said here is there is an abundance of Kirk on video to look at to make your own conclusions. That was my point.

Those symbols and the song are all from video games apparently. And if indeed he is a Fuentes fan and Fuentes personally knows him then there is very little doubt that he is hard alt right.
Per Gemini:
The groyper's "America First" strategy
  • Targeting mainstream conservatives:Groypers have deliberately heckled prominent conservative figures, such as those from Turning Point USA, with provocative questions about immigration, LGBTQ+ rights, and U.S. support for Israel. They use these disruptions to portray figures like Charlie Kirk as weak and out of touch with the "real" conservative base.
  • Normalizing white nationalist ideas: By cloaking their extremist views in patriotic, family-oriented, and "America First" language, the groypers aim to make white nationalism acceptable to a broader conservative audience. They claim that mainstream conservative leaders have "sold out" on cultural issues and demographics.
  • Distorting language: The groypers use inflammatory language against their political opponents, including the "fascist" label, as a deliberate tactic to muddy the political waters. They accuse mainstream conservatives of hypocrisy while promoting their own extremist and bigoted agenda.
Use of fascist labels against conservatives
  • The groypers' use of the "fascist" accusation is a form of ironic trolling. This allows them to project their own extremist ideology onto their opponents, increasing their appeal to disaffected conservatives.
  • The Anti-Defamation League and other organizations have described the groyper movement itself as white nationalist and fascist. The movement's leader, Nick Fuentes, has a history of antisemitic and racist rhetoric, and his followers often engage in online harassment and trolling.

NYT

President Trump said on Friday that the “radical left” was responsible for much of the political violence in the country, and appeared to excuse violence on the right by saying that it was driven by people who “don’t want to see crime.”

Mr. Trump’s comments, in an interview on “Fox & Friends” that ran for nearly an hour, expanded on a series of statements he had made since the assassination of Charlie Kirk, the conservative activist and political organizer. The president had seemed to excuse violence from right-wing or other supporters, while promising investigations into who was funding and organizing the left, suggesting the violence was somehow coordinated.

Well it is true. I favor tougher gun laws. But clearly gun violence is a result of the freedoms the second amendment provides.

Family friends report that T Robinson was “left on everything” in contrast with his family. Combine this with the “Hey fascist! Catch” and other anti fascist symbols and songs, no chance he killed Kirk because he wasn’t right wing enough. No Neo Nazi would say fascist catch my bullet.

Also, he’s 22 so 4 or 5 years from HS. People can change a great deal in that time - particularly if they live in the dark web.

This is one of the most disconnected things I've ever seen you post. The rest of us who grew up in the South could name 30 people from our families who were racist to the core but could be kind or generous on occasion with people of another race.
Maybe you and I see the definition of "racist" differently. I think the term is most frequently misused. I generally apply the literal definition of the word to its meaning and don't label people as racist for making a comment that happens to include race in it. Not in all cases, but that term is more defined by a person's actions than rhetoric. Most of what the left views as racist I view as bigotry.

not sure I’d say it was entirely unpredictable…

come on.... who really thought that Kirk was killed by someone further RIGHT than Kirk?

I'm not a kirk expert. I have spent the last two days trying to learn more about him. Is that what he said? Just like that? Is that the entire context? Why engage someone so compassionately as he did in that clip and make a comment saying black women don't have the brain processing power to be taken seriously? What sense does that make? That would seem to be completely contradictory.
I would agree it’s contradictory. However, I think the word “enough” in Strange’s post is relevant.

I’m sure you can dig up the full clip. Also, the one talking about seeing a black pilot and wondering if he’s qualified. I’m not posting direct quotes for a reason, I don’t recall them off the top. But the internet will provide you all the context you need.

Fair enough, but that is dumb. Of course we can empathize with others.

Claiming that high achieving women of color do not have the brain processing power to achieve those positions on their own is about as racist as it gets, from any perspective. The fact that he might open the door for one of those women in person doesn't make it not racist.

Right, I hear that, but calling human beings “necessary sacrifices” is objectively a really distasteful/heartless comment at best and a pretty despicable thing to say at worst. I’m not sure that any of the families of the dozens upon dozens upon dozens of school children who have been blown away by gun violence over the last 20 years would be happy to hear that their kids were “necessary sacrifices” so that a bunch of wing nuts can have AR-15’s.

My bar is based more on actions than rhetoric. Not excusing rhetoric but to me rhetoric has to go pretty far for me to label someone as racist. If you watched that clip, it wasn't just being nice. There was genuine or sincere compassion and empathy in his words. I think it is awfully difficult to fake sincerity. My point isn't to try to change anyone's perception of CK because I don't know enough about him. But given the deep love some have and deep hatred other have I wanted to learn more.

Tyler Robinson, the man arrested on suspicion of killing Charlie Kirk, was registered to vote but had never voted in any election, according to Ryan Sullivan, the clerk and auditor for Washington County, Utah, where the suspect lived.
