The same way you did with things like legalizing marijuana or other social issues. Change takes time and you have to be patient with it. Insulting and negatively broad-brush painting masses of people isn't going to do anything but make change more difficult.
You mean the Marijuana that still isn't legal?

But I suppose it's perfectly fine for those same folks to broad brush me and insult me because.... reasons?

And it's easy and entitled to tell others to be patient when it isn't your life being fucked with.

Marijuana legalizing is making consistent progress, just like social issues. Yes, there is some hypocrisy, but Republicans aren't the ones losing ground. I think there is a certain perception of the Democratic Party that is driving people away, which I alluded to in my post to superrific ("throne"/ "serfs").

I couldn't give a fuck less what you said in a conversation with Super.

Some hypocrisy?

SOME?

What you seem to propose is that those of us who aren't part of the Christian nationalist movement must be willing to accept any and all slights that come our way and respect those views because they are sincerely held while also recognizing that those same views are completely incongruent with our Constitution. Is that about right?

Have you ever personally been in that situation? You seem to easily advocate for it so I'm just curious.

If people like Zen were left to move society forward they’d have slaves write their posts.

I'm not saying you should respect any views, especially those that negatively impact others. Obama was anti-gay marriage when he was president. That isn't that long ago. People change their minds, but it can take time. Mass labeling is short-sighted and unproductive in my opinion. Change often happens slowly.

I also think the perception of Democrats is a factor. While negative generalizations happen both ways, I think there is a perception that Democrats are talking down on those who don't agree with them.

I'm a straight, white male. I don't have a lot working against me other than, I guess, being atheist.
