College Basketball 2025-26 season thread

Flipped this game on to watch a few possessions. Sheesh I hate whacky court designs lol. The shiny black makes it difficult to watch on TV.
 
I am really surprised Texas clawed back to take the one point lead at half. Absurdly physical game but both teams are turnover-prone.
 
Hard to believe that Texas is hanging around in this fugly game. They have a lot of unskilled players for this level but they are physical.
 
Duke pulling away at the end. Texas cut it to 3 with about 8 minutes to go but since a Duke timeout in response, the Devils have controlled.
 
I think you guys have a Caleb again. I only know that because of this board.

And as a bigger football fan I don't even know your quarterback. I do know you have a guy named Demon and I just know that because of how weird it is

College sports has been ruined beyond repair. Lifelong passionate fans like myself no longer give 2 shits. I will watch when convenient but will no longer work my life events around the UNC basketball schedule. And when I watch it is with a clinical detachment which is very odd to me and those who know me. My friends used to accuse me of having Carolina tourettes syndrome but that insane passion that used to give me such great joy and intense pain is gone. Likely forever.

Its like a major part of my psyche has been amputated. Need to fill it up with family, travel and other things.

It really is tough to cope with. We aren't going to the Kansas game on Friday because we have to travel to Detroit for a funeral. Drew has apologized like 10 times for having to miss the game and I finally said "babe, I honestly dont even care"

Adding that the only people that seem to care anymore are the fools who think they will get rich quick with sports betting. I just shake my head at every fan dual advertisment but the reality is THAT is the new target audience. Not the loyal fans who consistently tailgated and put their butts in the seats.

The basketball board went behind a paywall and I have had zero desire to go there. 5 years ago it was an hourly refresh for me

Had Cedric Coward decided to stick with Duke instead of bouncing to the league, this year's team would have been every bit as good as they were last year. As it stands... I think they're a second weeked club. Dame Sarr is an okay player but Coward would have been in contention for ACC POTY.

I had an official “man I feel old” watching the Boozers play last night. I remember watching their dad play at Duke when I first started watching college basketball in elementary school. It also made me miss those days of ACC basketball when guys like Boozer, Dunleavy, Redick, etc would actually stay three or four years and you could really grow to love them or hate them, depending on perspective. Those are the good old days when we played everybody home and away in round robin format so you knew you were getting to play against everyone else twice.

we havent beaten ku in over 20 years? damn still cant believe we blew 15 pt lead in 2nd half in natty to them. yeah ive heard all the typical loser excuses
