UK spent more on their basketball team than we did on our football team (and a lot of other football teams). Crazy.
I don't believe that is true, but the information is not public for either. The whisper number for KY basketball was around $22 million. I suspect we paid more than that for football.

The operating budget was 40 million. Taking away BB's salary, along with S&C/nutrition, assistant coaches, etc., it leaves a bit over 14-15 million for roster. Which is what IC was saying they spent last summer. That number also matches up with other outlets that put spending outside of the top 25 programs. Having said that, you're right, we won't know the exact numbers until things become transparent.

They 100% spent more than $14 million. That was the rev share number alone. The NIL was likely at least that much.

Let’s remember that Lombardi is the GM.

One could give him a limitless budget and he’d fuck it up.

What were his football personnel and/or scouting and/or coaching jobs in the last 10-15 years?

Who was trying to hire Lombardi in 2024?

What about Big Boob Bill Belichick?

Who was trying to hire BBBB in 2024? Who did we outbid? Seriously, WHO DID WE OUTBID FOR BILL BELICHICK in 2024? WHO?

Did we hire Bill Belichick, 73 year-old Bill Belichick, for a 4-6 year re-build?

Gonzaga beat UK 94-59.

That's bad enough I almost feed bad for UK.

I'm glad we played them at their place so that it almost certainly stays a Q1 win.
KY looked much better against us. Not sure whet that says about us. KY didn't hit a field goal for the first 9 minutes of the game. The Zags looked faster than anyone I've watched this season, from the start of the game.

UK had a 10+ minute stretch against us in the second half without hitting a FG.
