I can't tell if the refs have decided that BYU simply isn't going to lose or if Clemson has really fallen apart this badly.

This year feels more wide open than last. Where the top 4 separated themselves from the field pretty convincingly

Still early but I see a lot more teams in that conversation this year

I would definitely never predict a college team to go undefeated but I would say the odds at this point are higher they do that than that they lose 5 games.
I think they only have to play Purdue once... but then they do have dook on the sched. But the Big 10 is not as tough this year... not as tough as the Big 12 or the SEC - and the conference is really only a notch above the ACC... so yeah, they could go far with only 1 or 2 losses and not get to 5. Right now, they're odds on faves for the title. I'll bet they don't go undefeated while also granting they won't get to 5 losses.

The same Michigan team that needed luck to beat Wake Forest and TCU is going to go undefeated?

On average, a little less than 2 P5 teams each year will lose 4 games or less. Michigan has a good shot to be one of those teams -- maybe 50%-60% or so. The odds of Michigan going undefeated are under 1%.

You are smart enough to know that you are arguing against something I didnt say. Show me where I said they would go undefeated. Show me where I said anything resembling that.

Dont be butthurt. It hurts to admit that they are a better roster, a better team, and with a better coaching staff than the one in Chapel Hill. I hate the shit out of it. But it is undeniably true.

And they would walk the dog in the ACC.

I'll take the field.
Versus what? Whats your bet? I dont know what you mean. You said they wouldn't go undefeated and I agreed. I also said they were a hell of a lot closer to an undefeated team than a 5 loss team. What's your number? How many will they lose?

Wanna make an even money bet they are in the Final 4? That would be a "field" bet.

I don’t think you can say they would walk the dog in the ACC when they were fortunate to win a one point game in overtime against a middle of the road ACC team in what was basically a home game. They would probably be the best team in the ACC and are certainly one of the national contenders this year, but you make it sound like they’re an NBA team playing against the sisters of the poor.
