Why are euro professional ok?Why would Euro professionals be ok and not American professionals?
Snoop or somebody mentioned earlier that Europe does not really College ball-so post HS you play proWhy are euro professional ok?
Yeah. When this started, kids as young as 16 were playing pro in Europe and the talent level was so different that a lot of leagues had limits on how many Americans a team could have. Only the Americans were making any real money. There was some logic involved .Snoop or somebody mentioned earlier that Europe does not really College ball-so post HS you play pro
Lots of those pro teams are "minor leagues" I mean they may even have day jobs
That is the historic reason?
Ask Luka. Why are euro professional ok?
Is that any different from the G league?Snoop or somebody mentioned earlier that Europe does not really College ball-so post HS you play pro

Not according to the NCAA, because that's NIL & revenue share and not "pay for play".Didn't paying players already end amateurism?
Rev share is explicitly pay for play. Not according to the NCAA, because that's NIL & revenue share and not "pay for play".
But we're certainly walking a very, very fine line.

In the NCAA's mind, those are funds earned by all the student-athletes being shared among all the student-athletes.Rev share is explicitly pay for play.
What is your basis for saying that? Is there some current statement from the NCAA claiming that rev share is not pay for play?In the NCAA's mind, those are funds earned by all the student-athletes being shared among all the student-athletes.
But, yeah.
YesWhat is your basis for saying that? Is there some current statement from the NCAA claiming that rev share is not pay for play?
I've seen several statements that NIL is not pay for play, but have not seen any post-House statements suggesting that rev share is not pay for play or that college athletes are still amateurs. But in fairness, I generally ignore NCAA communications.
Pop-Tart mascots? The Pop-Tart Bowl is great but that's because of all the silly stuff with the Pop-Tart mascots.
Then they could pay the colleges for the already established mascots.Might as well just get rid of college teams for football, basketball and baseball and use minor leagues for players that don't go straight to the majors after high school.
They did some funny things last year with people dressed as giant pop tarts. I believe they also ate a giant pop tart.Pop-Tart mascots?
Those exist?
Too much fan interest, aka money, is tied to the college affiliations.Might as well just get rid of college teams for football, basketball and baseball and use minor leagues for players that don't go straight to the majors after high school.
