I’m going to burn every bit of goodwill I might have built up here by saying this, but here goes —

Has anyone else noticed that Duke’s teams seem way more likeable since Scheyer took over?
It’s difficult to be less likeable than coach k and the culture he instilled, so they have that going for them, which is something positive I suppose.

Even as a Duke guy I can tell you that's the case. We had many teams that had some ugh characteristics. 2010 and 15 were exceptions cause they played as teams. He coaches much better team ball than K did for his last 15 years.

I like team ball way better than pro style

Dook with all the luck against the league's best teams. Have to play SMU? No problem, their best player Boop is out for the game with a leg injury (SMU nearly won without him at CIS). Have to play one of the top teams in Louisville? No problem, they were only able to fly into Durham today due to the freak whether storm Fern and ran out of gas by halftime. What's next? A measles outbreak at UNC and UVA?

We can make that happen

One big factor though is that whether leaving for the NBA or transferring, modern college basketball players are at a school for such a short period. Hate takes time.

In the latter K years, only 1 dookie really developed a full hateability quotient - Grayson Allen, who was there for 4 years.
