I was watching a game last week between Georgetown and Seton Hall. A Georgetown player shot a free throw that bounced on the plate that holds the rim to the backboard. It bounced maybe 4 times and came to rest there. I have never seen that before.

2 or 3 times in 56 years of remembering college hoops broadcasts.

Wild scratches!

Way back in the ‘90’s, after a UNC/d00k game, Ed Cota was asked how it was going up against Steve Wojo - either the returning NPOY or a leading candidate for that year’s NPOY.

All Easy Ed did was hold his arms and show the numerous scratches on them.

The Heels had won the game; but, Cota was scratched up. Cota said nothing; just showed his arms.

They deserve to be in the tournament but I doubt they are one of the top 25 teams in the country. Same for Saint Louis.

Difference between ratings and rankings. Miami OH is currently 86th in KenPom lol, but getting to 29-0 regardless of conference is impressive. I don’t really have a problem with sneaking them into the back of the AP poll. Personally I think they should 100% get an at large berth over some middling power conference team like Auburn if they do happen to get tripped up in their conference tournament.
