OU has shit the bed in this game, first their punter drops the ball after cleanly receiving the hike and having his kick blocked, and now Mateer throws a TD pass to an Alabama defender.

Also a would be TD pass was a dropped ball immediately before the punt fail.

Kiffin in some ways is the personification of modern college sports - a pure mercenary with no loyalty to any school or to anyone except himself and whoever can pay the most for his services, and give him the best platform for boosting his ego and keeping him in the national spotlight. It's no longer about the universities and their athletic programs, it's all about "show me the money!"

I don't think it is all about the money. LSU is a decidedly better job than Ole Miss, with better football history and greater football resources. If your goal is to win a national championship, you are more likely to accomplish that goal coaching at LSU.

Missed a chippy and then came short on a 51-yarder? Had gone all season only missing one FG attempt.
This day and age, just cannot help myself from suspecting even when there is likely just case of the nerves or something else innocent.
 
OU runs out to an early 17-0 lead and then gets outscored 34-7 the rest of the way. Definitely a choke job - this one will sting with Sooner Nation for awhile.

The quarterfinals should also be at home stadiums. I would say prove me wrong, but I am right without question. :)
