That's what I wanted to to happen while Mack was still at UNC. I was hoping they would get rid of Mack a year earlier than they did and bring in Cignetti.
That would have been great. Although, I seriously doubt we'd have the money coming in like IU had if we'd hired him. So, I doubt we'd be anywhere near where IU is right now, but we'd probably be a whole lot better.

Indiana looks damn good. But Oregon has been shell shocked since the first snap, and apparently has numerous players out.

I expect IU to beat Miami, but the canes will at least make it competitive.

If Indiana wins the title, that's 3 in a row for the BIG. I haven't posted on IC in years but I remember being absolutely lambasted for contending that the BIG is the best football league.

Well, if the playoffs are an indicator, the BIG is indeed the best NIL era football league.

They make MO Money for teams-we should want the BIG. They are The National Brand. And it is pleasant to be associated with decent Academics
But noooo-we have to go SEC

This is the kinda post that makes me cringe.

Let’s say—just for the sake of argument—that UM wins.

Will that diminish your view of the B1G and elevate your view of the ACC? My guess is no.

To be clear, I do not expect UM to win. But I’m also not willing to buy into your arguments about how the ACC is such a shitty conference.

It would elevate my opinion of Miami. If 2 other different ACC teams stepped up in the next 2 years and both won titles, that would indeed elevate my opinion of the ACC.

What do you think the odds are on that?

I don't know what to tell you other than I am a season ticket holder in the ACC and in the BIG. I see the teams in person year after year. My observation is that the BIG is tougher, better coached, more talented, and with far more knowledgeable, fun, and engaged fan bases. That gap is persistent and it is widening between the leagues.
