There’s more to it than what town might be the best to live in on paper from our perspective. Kiffin’s son is the starting QB for his HS and might be a hot prospect in a few years (already has multiple college offers). Having to move him to a new school could definitely be a big consideration one way or the other.

oxford ms is a dump cept on gamedays....and too close to memphis tenn. gainesville fl wouldnt think twice
Not true. When was the last time you were there? Oxford's Square, with 100% local shops, bars, restaurants, bookstores and boutique hotels etc., is awesome 365 days of the year. Not a CVS or chain restaurant to be found. It puts 2025 Franklin Street to shame. Close to Memphis airport as well.

Interior Florida, like Gainesville, is the pits. Need to be on the water in the State of Florida.

its pississippi but seems thats your preference

not surprised given how money, not merit drives college football, but Notre Dame's path is whack:

1-2 against ranked teams
2-0 against G5
7-0 against P4 with combined 8-48 record
no conference championship

lock for playoffs

It’s so annoying. I actually do think they are one of the best 8-10 teams in the country, but if they’re going to keep playing hardball and not join a conference to play a real schedule then the margin for error should be smaller.

Think Miami, Bama, Vandy, BYU all have great arguments to be higher than ND right now.

It's a rare day that I find myself on the same side as Ram, but I'm not too proud to admit it when I am. Oxford is great. I also like Gainesville, but I'd take Oxford any day between the two of them. Most of the rest of Mississippi is a third world country, but not Oxford.

pississippi is only great if you are a white racist i lived there for 4 years. has it changed since 2016...maybe. i have no reason to return and you can have it regardless

This stat is not accurate.

ND just beat Pitt, which has 7 wins itself. It also has wins against State, USC, etc.

More importantly, the quality of a team is not based just on win/loss record. Two extremely close losses to top 20 teams (and the Miami game was on the road) as well as complete ass kickings of the rest of the schedule is highly relevant to the quality of the team.

Pitt is beating GT 28-0 in the 2Q.

GT would guarantee themselves a spot in the ACCCG if they win tonight.

If the CFP just told the ACC we don't deserve a spot this year, it'd be hard to argue with them.

Bobby Bowden ain't walkin in the door.

And neither is Dick Crum for Heels... although I wish he were
I'm sure that FSU fans believe that if they only went to the SEC or Big 10 their problems would be over and they'd return to glory. It's far more likely that they would continue to be mediocre and would likely never be an elite team again. If they can't consistently roll over the mediocre ACC I don't know how they'd do any better against the best teams of the SEC and Big 10, even if they had more SEC and Big 10 money to recruit.
