All UVA had to do was get a 1st down to out the game away. That last play call on the 3rd and 3 was not good. Now FSU has a shot to send the game into OT.

So—are both UVA and FSU good teams? Or are they both standard mediocre ACC teams?

UVA has a pretty easy schedule from here on—they don’t play UM, GT, or Cuse. Will they drop a game or 2 against subpar conference teams?

What to make of FSU? Will they rebound or will they end up with 3-4 losses minimum?

All ACC teams are middling to bad.

That was the best game I have seen this year. I thought UVA had given it away when they didn't get the 1st down to run out the clock, and FSU made that crazy TD on 4th and goal to send it into OT.

Watching live, I was genuinely concerned for the FSU receiver in the End Zone. He was fine (ESPN did a good job finding him to show a coach walking him out of the rush), but as someone who has thought the pearl clutching over the risks of court storming is silly, the prone FSU receiver seemed like he could be at real risk of getting trampled.

BTW, the ACC letting fans listen in on challenge discussions was a rare stroke of brilliance. It changes the fan experience dynamic when you can hear exactly what is being considered and how the decision is made. It came up late in this game on a key catch / no catch play with a TD on the line.

That is scary stuff . In late Oct 1993 Wisky beat Mich The stampede included a chain link fence where students got crushed against by students pouring down from above. It can really get ugly
I honestly don't know how you can stop such a stampede ?

You put students in the upper sections with no direct field access.
