Not really. If he punted, Ole Miss would have had the ball at their 25 up 3 with about 7:30. As it was, Ole Miss had the ball at their 25 up 3 with about 5 minutes. It basically cost 2:30 of game time.Dear lort, Kirby really killed them with that terrible decision to go for it.
The TD that resulted was a backbreaker for Georgia.
1-7. Might be on to something here.0-6 now for the bye teams. I can certainly see that going to 0-7 in this Bama/Indiana game.
8 games?1-7. Might be on to something here.
Yeah. There is certainly a very high standard deviation when your sample size is 8.8 games?
Yeah.
That’s a sample.
Sure?Yeah. There is certainly a very high standard deviation when your sample size is 8.
On the other hand, flip a coin 8 times and calculate how many times you get heads 7 times. Should be about 3 out of 100 - and that is when the odds are equal. The bye teams are theoretically better.
You haven't listened to Cignetti very much have you. He's not at all shocked.Heck, if you could get Cignetti to be honest, i bet he's likely shocked at the success he's had at Indiana.
ACC gonna win two more bowl games tonight, including unranked SMU beating No. 17 Arizona.Great win. You should be tickled to death and am happy for you. In also pleased beyond belief that Ohio State went down.
The ACC, however, is still absolute ass. I don’t know how anyone can watch football weekly and have any different conclusion.
The bowl games are meaningless.ACC gonna win two more bowl games tonight, including unranked SMU beating No. 17 Arizona.
That will raise the ACC post-season record to 8-4 and the SEC is 4-9 (admittedly, that is a VERY deceptive record based on games and opponents).
I wouldn’t go that far.The bowl games are meaningless.
I agree, but if that stat were reversed, I am sure @wmheel1287 would cite it as proof of how terrible the ACC is.The bowl games are meaningless.
Other than the CFP ones they mean zero.I wouldn’t go that far.
Before the CFP, did any bowls outside of the BCS games mean anything?Other than the CFP ones they mean zero.
In that case, ACC = 2-0, SEC = 3-3Other than the CFP ones they mean zero.
I agree with you . The bowl system has always been a joke. Before the CFP, did any bowls outside of the BCS games mean anything?
And before the BCS, did any bowls other than those that happened on New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day matter?
Don’t get me wrong. I agree that the transfer portal and coaching changes and NIL has upended the landscape of college football.
But let’s not act like the Pinstripe Bowl or the New Mexico Bowl or the other low-level bowls ever really “meant” anything.
And not even one of the top 2 ACC teams! In that case, ACC = 2-0, SEC = 3-3
Disagree.I agree with you . The bowl system has always been a joke.
