What would be lost if UNC basketball was divested into an LLC? It would retain all the intellectual property -- i.e. uniforms, logos, history -- and facilities (lease or ownership, I don't know), but the players wouldn't have to be students.

I submit nothing would be lost. I asked this question before and people said that it was important to them that the players be students, but it seems that's more or less water under the bridge. I mean, players might attend classes and all, but if you transfer three times in four years, you're not really much of a student. And it's been a while since I've heard of a player being academically ineligible.

Simply allow athletes to major in their sport if they choose. This way they remain "students".

And another case of a team paying a player MORE than the NFL will. 5 million is the rumor. Get a multi-yr contract in the pros with 6-11 million unguaranteed over 4 yrs, or get 5 million guaranteed in a single yr? Easy answer.

His whole story is kinda wild. Kiffin took him as a backup/flyer to Austin Simmons and he didn't even get his shot til Simmons was hurt in week 3. Simmons is now gone to mizzou's starting QB.

My interest in college football has gone from a 9 to a 1 over the last few years. We are allowing state court judges in Mississippi to decide whether a guy who will be 24 when the next season starts is eligible to play for Ole Miss against a bunch of 18 year olds. The guy is six months older than Drake Maye. Fucking insane.
