Yeah, normally I would be highly dubious what he’s talking about could plausibly fit within the reconciliation rules, but it’s not like this SCOTUS would interfere with that.

I confess I am a bit surprised -- this is not the actual Speaker election, just a precursor vote of the caucus, but given Trump's support for Johnson, I figured he might go unopposed. Maybe this just gives the far right group their moment now knowing they'll have to fall in line when the actual Speaker election happens in January (when he should still have Stefanik and Waltz available to vote for him since they can't take their Administration position until J20 anyway).
