I think that may be a bridge too far for Callatoroy .

But it is good to see a MAGA poster return to the board after a two week hiatus. Maybe ram and pandemic blue will join him ?
Lol. Ram did return. To celebrate the TN House candidate winning by 13 points less than Trump won his district last year.

“Representative Elise Stefanik of New York called Speaker Mike Johnson a habitual liar.

Representative Nancy Mace of South Carolina has told people she is so frustrated with the Louisiana Republican and sick of the way he has run the House — particularly how women are treated there — that she is planning to huddle with Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia next week to discuss following her lead and retiring early from Congress.

Representative Anna Paulina Luna of Florida has gone around Mr. Johnson in a bid to force a vote he has declined to schedule on a bill to ban members of Congress from stock trading.

Less than a year out from midterm elections in which Republicans’ vanishingly small majority is at stake, Mr. Johnson’s grasp on his gavel appears weaker than ever, as members from all corners of his conference openly complain about his leadership. Some predict that he may not last as the speaker for the rest of this term.

Republican women, in particular, have been publicly challenging Mr. Johnson and taking issue with his priorities and his style….”

Ms. Stefanik is not alone among Republican women in feeling aggrieved by Mr. Johnson. Some of them said privately that the speaker had failed to listen to them or engage in direct conversations on major political and policy issues, suggesting that doing so was a cultural challenge for Mr. Johnson — an evangelical Christian who has often voiced firm views about the distinct roles men and women should play in society.

In a recent podcast interview, for instance, he [Speaker Johnson] said that women were not able to compartmentalize their thoughts, and that the member whom he would trust most to cook him Thanksgiving dinner was Representative Lisa McClain of Michigan.

… Still, the description sounded familiar to multiple Republican lawmakers who recounted a sense of resignation and defeatism in their ranks regarding the speaker. One of them, who requested anonymity to speak candidly about Mr. Johnson’s standing, summed up his members’ assessment as “eye rolls, and no better options.”…”

Sounds like Republican women deserve a spot in the FAFO thread along with Arabs in Michigan and Hispanics that voted for Trump. Align yourself with misogynistic assholes who believe women belong in the kitchen and you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit.

Yep. Johnson's only valuable asset is his willingness to debase himself in absolute fealty to Trump. So anyone who expected him to be anything more than a Grade A misogynistic douchebag deserves whatever they get.

I keep wondering about the people in his district that think he represents them in any sort of flattering manner.

Who has custody of his spine ,anyway?

Well, of course he is...he's a Republican, isn't he?

I'll let my previous post on this thread stand in for what I think of Speaker Johnson & the Republicans upset with him.

I mean, you could inject this directly into my veins and I'd be happy to OD.

However, I don't think that Mike Johnson has allowed this to happen because he wanted it to happen. Mike Johnson has allowed it to happen because he's a spineless little bitch who doesn't have the balls to stand up to anyone or anything unless he knows he's guaranteed to win.

And the House Republicans are directly responsible for spineless bitch Mike Johnson being Speaker of the House because they refused to nominate and elect anyone who would dare challenge them. They wanted a spineless bitch for a Speaker and now they're complaining that they chose one.

They got what they deserved and fuck 'em all for it.

To the surprise of nobody, SCOTUS overturned the district court on the issue of Texas' maps, for no meaningfully articulated reason. So the racial gerrymanders will be used.

I was actually a little surprised at the reasoning. I was expecting them to say pretty much nothing, or to reiterate the shit about legislative good faith (which they did). But I wasn't expecting them to humiliate themselves because of the absence of an alternative map, which is meaningless and created entirely ad hoc. Then I remembered, oh yeah, that's what they do.
