Only, Trump IS actively destroying our democracy, did attempt to thwart the government. Openly questioned why his generals weren't more Nazi-like and did sell out to billionaires.

So yeah. Not the same.

Damn farce, any plans to move? I don't know for sure, but I suspect your situation is the exception and not the rule for red dominated local districts. Mine is certainly the inverse from yours. You live in the Cleveland area don't you? Are your schools the best in the state?

I moved to Charlotte 3+ years ago when I retired. Cleveland schools are far from the best in the state but some of the suburbs have very good schools and they pay handsomely for them. Ohio schools in general are considerably better than those in NC (wife is a teacher) but the Ohio GOP is doing their best to defund public education and keep Ohio schools dropping in those rankings.
