I don't have any particular hate for Melania, but this gets to what has been so baffling since 2015, and especially since 2024. The great animating frustration in American politics since at least the financial crisis has been that the rich are getting immensely richer while everyone else is, at best, treading water. That frustration is at the core of not just modern progressivism, but also the right wing populism that found its branding in MAGA. But HOW, if that's the frustration, did the right wing coalesce around a billionaire married to an immigrant adult film star who built his wealth on cheating and stealing from the small people to pay for his golden toilet seat in his Fifth Avenue penthouse?

OF COURSE people hate Melania. She's the prototype of what 80% of Americans are frustrated about. So how in the holy hell did so many people vote for her husband, who is a million times worse?

Also, the federal government is 10x more competent and better run than almost any state government - although Trump is working hard to even that score.

It's horrible that the average maga conservative, like Zen, has been mislead to believe that the government can't do anything right and that everything should follow the model of big business.
 
Apparently we can't afford anything but wars and tax cuts for billionaires. At least when we were running deficits previously I could take solace in the fact that some of the dollars were going to pay for the sick, feed the poor, fund science, etc. Now we are stacking up debt by growing Elon Musk's balance sheet and blowing up factories halfway around the world.

And those wars just make the rich even richer. Look how they have used the war to manipulate the stock market and to make more money from it.

Assuming Berger still has good relations with the Raleigh boys, there could be some real benefits to having a power broker in charge of the law school.

And since the orange turd has been back in office there's no discussion of working to mitigate climate change. Guess everyone in office just accepts that he thinks its a hoax and would never sign any legislation that could help. This groups of representing will be seen as the jelly fish they are, by history.
