What this administration is doing to the Afghans who risked their lives to help our military is one of the absolute worst of the infinite number of terrible things it has done. Any Republican who says a word going forward about the messy Afghanistan exit can go fuck himself with a red hot poker.

Of course, this is what Trump wanted to do to our Afghan allies all along. He just wanted to leave them to be killed by the Taliban rather than sending them to the middle of Africa.

Very fine people.

It may be unfortunate for the underlings but if the US ever gets its shit together the military officers that executed these orders need to be charged. Yes Trump, Hegseth, Rubio need to go down in criminal ignominy but the rank and file need the message that they are active participants in a just and ethical system of defense and violence.

Extradict them.

I have a better place for the "red hot poker"!

In case I disappear or something, know that I am a long time donor to SPLC and not planning to disappear. 😉😬

He knew who Trump is. Fuck him.
This was what Tucker wrote in 2021, three years before his BS in 2024:

Jan. 4, 2021, Carlson expressed anger toward Trump. He said that “we are very, very close to being able to ignore Trump most nights” and that “I truly can’t wait.”

Carlson said he had no doubt there was fraud in the 2020 election, but said Trump and his lawyers had so discredited their case — and media figures like himself — “that it’s infuriating. Absolutely enrages me.”

Addressing Trump’s four years as president, Carlson said: “We’re all pretending we’ve got a lot to show for it, because admitting what a disaster it’s been is too tough to digest. But come on. There really isn’t an upside to Trump.”

In texts early on the morning of Jan. 7, 2021, a day after the violent assault on the U.S. Capitol, Carlson and his longtime producer, Alex Pfeiffer, bemoaned how the rioters had believed Trump’s election lies.

“They take the president literally,” Pfeiffer said. “He is to blame for everything that happened today.”

“The problem is a little deeper than that I’d say,” Carlson replied.

“Obviously the problems are deep but at the core of it is Trump saying it was stolen,” Pfeiffer wrote.

“Not the core,” Carlson wrote. “Awful but a symptom.”

Later, Carlson writes of Trump: “He’s a demonic force, a destroyer. But he’s not going to destroy us. I’ve been thinking about this every day for four years.”
