I’m surprised this hasn’t come up before in the media. I’ve had a couple conversations about this with people on the student services side. It’s coming up in both recruitment and retention contexts.
Public schools with higher acceptance rates typically skew slightly towards women in the freshmen class because there are more female applicants. That discrepancy increases through the senior class because retention rates are generally a little lower for men.
What I’ve heard reflects the same sentiment shared by Mitchell in the link. There is trepidation with recruiting and retention activities targeting male students because no one trusts the administration to not change their minds and accuse a school of discrimination for doing so.

Trump missed ending 8 wars by just this much👐

but he does deserve a participation peace prize medal even though he struck out 8 times... because all of us deserve a participation trophy to make us feel better about ourselves when we come up 8 wars short.
