I don’t know if we have any skaters or former skaters here but for me this qualifies as sporting history and therefore a current event- Chris Joslin tre flipped El Toro:

I've always been an Arial guy, but now that I know the Trump administration doesn't like Calibi, I'm all in.

Also, how can anyone in the administration of Trump talk about professionalism with a straight face? They should be using Comic Sans.
Pro tip: Arial is a wider font than Times, so if you are at UNC in the late 90s, you can fill out stupid page count requirements on papers easier.

Never a serious skater……the amount of falls a good skater has too take to become good is scary.

I rocked and ice climbed at a pretty good level; but, you didn’t have to fall to become good at climbing. I’m old enough that the climbing ethos was “do not fall (you just didn’t fall on an ice climb). Part of that was the equipment and ropes were still unproven to a degree. Not many routes had bolts along the crux; you had to place pro by hand on the sharp end of the rope.

The number of broken bones an elite skater has had must be huge.

No one outside of maga world sees fox as a viable news source.

Looking back, had i realized how important this would turn out, I wish it would have been better addressed.

I didn't realize how many people would put keeping brown people out of the country above the economy.

But considering all the lies about all of the brown people bringing drugs as well as being murders and rapist, I can understand the less informed being scared. Fear seems to be a way of life for them, so they are very susceptible to rhetoric designed to drive fear.
Truth . . !

“The White House says Secretary Kristi Noem isn’t going anywhere. That hasn’t stopped people from floating possible replacements.

Fox News contributor and former Utah Rep. Jason Chaffetz and Virginia Gov. Glenn Youngkin, whose term ends in January, are among the names being discussed inside the Trump administration and on the Hill as potential Noem successors, according to an administration official and two people close to the administration.

… There is increasing frustration with how she’s managed the agency, fear she’s bungled the billions of dollars in new funding her agency received this year from Republicans’ domestic policy and tax legislation. In addition, there are also concerns about Corey Lewandowski’s outsize role at DHS, and the tensions between Noem and Trump Border Czar Tom Homan about how to best execute the president’s immigration agenda….”

“… A second administration official said they would be shocked if Noem left by early January, but added that there is “definitely a belief” inside the department that she will leave at some point to launch a campaign for 2028. The official, like others, suggested that Noem has not indicated that she plans to exit anytime soon.…”

“As you probably know, we have just seized a tanker on the coast of Venezuela, a large tanker, very large, the largest one ever seized actually,” Trump said at an event at the White House.

She's thinking about running for the GOP nomination in 2028? LOL. She has virtually no chance at the nomination, and it would be a waste of her time and money. And given all of the skeletons in her closet, like her boy toy Corey, her chances are reduced to zero. I know that male GOP candidates have survived extramarital affairs and all sorts of hypocrisy, including Dear Leader, but I suspect that in the GOP the sexual double standard for presidential candidates is likely still going strong.
