I think it's hilarious that Trump thinks a primetime address to brag about his "successes" will actually help him. We are now way past the point where the more people see and hear Trump, the more they hate him. Tonight will most likely be a nonevent, but if it registers, it's highly likely to be as another disaster for Trump rather than a positive.

Clips should be saved an used often in midterms with headlines of what was actually happening at or around the same period of time.

Thought this was interesting. The far-right has always told me that the FBI is nothing more than an arm of the Democratic Party

Do you ever feel a little bit embarrassed when you jump the gun with gotchas only to find out that the information you had was either entirely wrong or highly misleading?

I would be pretty embarrassed to do that one time and offer up an apology. You seem unfazed by having done so over and over.

I guess a lack of shame could be considered a legitimate medical condition which deserves sympathy rather than scorn/

Can't wait to hear again about the 8 wars he thinks he's "ended." Lmao.

kinda sad to see Ramswamy hoisted by his own petard...

The Times actually printed "street shitters" without an edit. Interestingly. I guess they felt it was important to let people know what vile rhetoric has currency today.

I think a lot of people are starting to get Trump fatigue, certainly a few pub lawmakers are. I see three large buckets of people. (1) His core cult, the 30% or so, will watch it, love it, and repeat his bullshit. (2) A few others who aren't in the cult will watch, and I assume roll their eyes, and maybe come away even more fatigued. (3) Those of us who are disgusted by him won't watch. At least that is how it looks from my seat. So I suppose I agree with you in that this will be a nonevent for groups 2 and 3. However, while the speech may be a disaster, I don't see it being a disaster for him, because I think his approval numbers are starting to bottom out at his cult. I hope I am wrong.

Now as someone else mentioned, his statements juxtaposed against the current reality will make great campaign ads next year. Of course, that would have made great campaign ads in '24, but no one took advantage.

I wish we had seen that in '24.
  • Video of riots in the street juxtaposed with "Make America Great Again"
  • Overflowing hospitals juxtaposed with Trump saying something stupid about bright lights and disinfectant
  • Trump blasting Obama for playing golf juxtaposed with his fat ass on the course
  • Him talking about his "hi IQ" along with a video of him saying something stupid, like "Yoe Seh Mite" Narional Park
  • Him saying something about being a Christian along side one of his vile, hateful Easter posts
Damn! So many missed opportunities.

lol, this is exactly what I suspected after reading that Fox “News” report and before seeing this tweet. It’s easy to read between the lines if you aren’t just looking for validation of what you hope is true.
Also, just because some agents thought there was not enough probable cause to arrest doesn’t mean they don’t strongly agree Trump was guilty. The FBI had a very strong suspicion who the Unabomber was for a couple of months before they arrested him because they needed more evidence for a warrant, for example.
