“…Pete Hegseth had told forces to “kill everybody” on board, both the Senate and House Armed Services Committees—led by Republicans—said they are demanding answers from the Pentagon and conducting “vigorous oversight.”
Leaders of both parties said on Sunday that, if true, a follow-up strike on survivors could be illegal.…”
Didn't the MAGAts just have their underwear all in a twist about Democrats recklessly opining on illegal orders and the advice that service members need not follow such orders? A second strike to kill the survivors after the cargo has been destroyed seems like an illegal order.
During the early days of WW2, the Allies were all up in arms about the failure of Nazi submarines to render aid to the survivors of sunken cargo ships. Are those carrier based task groups worried about the Venezulian Navy catching them with their pants down if a destroyer is dispatched to pick-up surviviors? If they did pick-up injuried survivors, Pete Hegseth would probably insist on personally "interviewing" them. Based on Hegseth's past history, he may personally know some of the drug runners.
