Pakistan is just sending a message. I doubt they have any interest in occupying Afghanistan. And of course, when Pakistan stops bombing Trump will claim he settled another war.

IIRC ,Alexander the Great found them to be a PITA back then.

Also, those banners are expensive. They have to be fire resistant fabric, and the more printed area there is the higher the cost. I looked into getting a pretty simple, mostly black 10x10 for a band I was in and it was upwards of $1000, pre-COVID.
 


So FEMA finally finds these commitments apparently so they can leverage lack of available funding in battle with Congressional Democrats.
