Kind of an aside but I watched a little bit of Candace Owens’ “expose” (if you can call it that) on Erika Kirk. There are 7 parts on YouTube, each an hour long and with 2 million or more views.

From a purely rhetorical point of view It’s an interesting watch because she makes a strangely compelling case that Erika is up to something non-specifically nefarious without ever really stating a fact. And MAGA folks consume hours of this stuff without the desire (or frankly, ability) to think critically about it.

When it was disclosed that there was some sort of timeline issues with when she ended it with her old boyfriend and started up with Charlie, my immediate thought was that she was quite possibly a beard for Charlie.

This is not a "I really think this" thing, but more of a "I would totally not be surprised it actually turned out to be true" kind of thing.

I never paid enough attention to Charlie Kirk to get a sense for if he was the sort who would need a beard or not, so who knows (not that there's only one reason a man might need or want a beard).

I think we have to leave a lot of room for how people mourn their loved ones differently, but if you were looking to add evidence to the beard theory, then that might fit as well.
