I like the way they threw that last allegation in there. Like it’s some lesser offense being tacked on, but also what they need to throw in there to really make the guy look like scum.
 
If he fled to South Korea, how was he brought back to be assassinated by antiaircraft guns?

Did South Korea extradite him?
 
The MarkWayneBillyBob confirmation hearing has begun. It's off to a great start with fellow Republican (Libertarian) Rand Paul, the chair, hammering him for BillyBob saying he understood why Paul was attacked by neighbor. He still won't apologize to his face.

In defending his opinion that maybe we need more duels to settle politician differences, MarkWayne claims that is st8ll in or part of our system. I'm not sure what he meant here (still on the books somewhere like gay sex is illegal?) Rand Paul shut that down by saying there has been no precedent for dueling in over 170 years.
 
In pre-internet days when I was spending lots of time in Guatemala English-language daily news came, at least to me, a day or two late. I read the Guatemalan papers to be sure, and the coverage of international news was often better than in US papers, but understanding the ways things were going and being viewed 'back home' was important too. I had a radio (still have it) that had a shortwave dial and often when I was falling asleep at night I listened to Voice of America's "Daybreak Africa" where I could get a northern North American 'take' on things. When trumpistas reached out to destroy the Voice of America is was saddened -- like so many moves made by this destroyer class they are reckless and think not one whit about good, only about their own fortunes and power. I'm gladdened by this news. Kari Lake is among the worst of a sesspool of sorry cretins.
