As someone else has pointed out on social media, it would be so, so appropriate if the "devout Christian" Mike Johnson's golden gift turned out to be a golden calf. I still believe that these MAGA Christian Nationalist types are wrecking American Christianity in the long run, which is probably a good thing if Prosperity Gospel/Christian Nationalism heresy is going to be the face of it. The notion that any of these people are going to be "Raptured" up into heaven because they're more pure and worthy than anyone else is a total joke.

The only way you could satirize the current administration & Republican Congressional leadership would be to portray them as competent & rational and show the absolute chasm between that desired state & our current reality.
